A newspaper is a publication issued at regular and usually close intervals, especially daily or weekly, and commonly containing news, comment, features, and advertising. The first newspaper was printed in 1641 in England. The first successful daily newspaper in Britain was not printed until 1702. The Boston The Hartford Courant was published On October 29, 1774 and is known as the oldest newspaper in the United States. In the New York Times the leading story is Obama to Announce Halt of U.S. Troop Withdrawal in Afghanistannewspaper of record is a major newspaper that has a large circulation and whose editorial and news-gathering functions are considered professional and typically authoritative. In 1913, The New York Times was the "newspaper of record" because it became the first U.S. newspaper to publish an index of the subjects covered in its pages. Looking at a Newspaper is more efficient then just by using social media to stay connected, because on a newspaper, everything you need to know is all in the paper and not spread out in social media.
